Seven Islands Walk Sponsorship.
We wanted to sponsor Alan Gandy in his attempt to walk across the 7 Islands that make up the Canary Islands. It didn’t take long for our thoughts to turn to water. On the advice of Mitch Mitchell Alan’s personal trainer it was established that Alan would need to drink 3 to 4 Litres of water per day. Agua Clara is pleased to cover the cost of this and wish Alan the best of luck in his endeavor.

We asked Ray to come over and see if it was possible to install a tap in our kitchen without drilling the granite worktop, it was and he installed our new drinking water tap on the sink next to our normal tap.
A month later and we’ve forgotten all about carting 5-8 litre bottles of water from the supermarket, we simply use the tap! We have a container in the fridge for cold drinking water and everyone in the family is really pleased. What’s more it costs 50% of what we were originally spending per month and we’re helping the local environment by not buying / recycling the plastic bottles.

Why would I want a water filter?
The tap water in Lanzarote is considered to be safe to drink, however most people agree that it doesn't taste that great.
Many of the properties here store their tap water in an Aljibe (well) before pumping it into the house. So whilst the water that arrives in the aljibe may be safe to drink, there’s no guarantee that it will remain so after sitting underground for some time.
Bottled water is fairly costly at around 20c a litre a family of four could easily spend €30 a month. Businesses spend significantly more than that.
You have to carry it home and then store it.
Bottled water is often imported and the empties have to be disposed of, all of which isn't great for the environment.

We can normally install an in line filter system within the hour and replace
your filters in a few minutes every 2300 litres.
